About us
At Ideas Evolved we are passionate about bringing your vision to life. We work closely to turn your ideas into physical products. We achieve this through close collaboration, creative thinking and our engineering expertise.

Our background in engineering and manufacturing allows us to design products that can be produced to different budgets and timescales. We understand how different projects are and the need for a tailored service, as no two products are the same. With our experience we know that manufacturability is at the core, ensuring the product can be made in the right volumes and timescale and use the most cost-efficient manufacturing method. Our designs are not just marketing images but full working products that focus on simplicity to keep manufacturing and sourcing costs as low as possible.

Ideas Evolved was created to bring a complete solution from early concepts all the way through to production quantities and continued support. The design stage may only be 10% of the product’s life cycle but is also the most influential and defining point. Spending the time to get the design right at the beginning will not just save time in the long term but also vast amounts of money. The further down the line that problems are discovered the higher the costs significant time to the project.
Our approach starts with your requirements, we will discuss all the details of the project and get an in depth understanding of what you are after. By doing this we know where to focus and where we can bring fresh ideas and a different perspective to help develop the best product. Our focus is on service and support and guiding you through this complex and challenging process from start to finish. From concept design and development through to prototyping and manufacturing, we will guide you through every step of the journey.

With our focus on detail, cost effectiveness and collaboration, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional products to a deadline and budget. We believe that great design isn’t just about solving the initial problems on the surface but going far deeper and solving the root problem. By doing this we can reduce the complexity of products and keep them simple. This then enables us to reduce issues and costs in the long term as complexity only multiplies these factors.
Our Core Values
“Our years in manufacturing highlighted the frustration of not having a complete solution. Often getting enquiries where the designs looked visually great but were fundamentally floored. Having the difficult conversations that the products were either not manufacturable or going to be incredibly expensive to make the way it was currently designed. We would then have to redesign large parts of the models and optimise for manufacturing. Ideas Evolved solves this by always being focused on how to manufacture throughout the design and development process, so there are no hidden surprises when it goes into production.”

Our goal is to create a team that can design quality products whilst ensuring they can be financially commercial and use the best manufacturing methods and suppliers for the job. This freedom of choosing suppliers allows us to not be limited to any single company’s resources or limitations. Most manufacturers design products to what they can achieve in house which can compromise the design and functionality of products, even if it is unintentional.

Our Process
We will develop a tailored proposal outlining the product development journey, stage by stage depending on your requirements. We will recommend the best way forward and explain what will be achieved in each stage.

1. Product Design Specifcation
Gathering information and defining requirements of the product.

2. Concept Generation
Brainstorming and exploring various concepts and ideas based on the product requirements, this includes hand sketches, CAD models, etc.

3. Concept Development
From feedback on the initial concepts, promising concepts are identified and are further developed into more detailed design. 3D models and partial prototypes are created to aid with the development.

4. Prototyping
Creating physical models of the product to test its functionality, usability and aesthetics. This could be 3D prints, machined prototypes or low production quantities.

5. Testing & evaluation
Prototypes are tested to make informed decisions of any changes to the design prior to production.

6. Design optimisation & refinement
Based on feedback from testing, the design is refined to address any issues or changes. Further prototypes may be required to validate changes.

7. Finalisation of documents
Once the final design is confirmed, documents are generated to include final 3D CAD models and engineering drawings, along with documentation needed for manufacturing.

8. Tooling
Selection of suppliers, close collaboration between designers and suppliers to prevent issues and fine tune the production process.
Launching tooling, jig & fixtures that are required for production quantities. Confirming packaging and logistics.

9. Production
Close collaboration between designers and manufacturers to make sure the product meets the specification and quality standards throughout production.

10. Launch and post launch support
After production the product is launched into the market and support is provided with the manufacturers to maintain seamless production batches. Future adjustments can be made to ensure the success of the product and continue to evolve and compete in the market.
These steps may vary depending on the project requirements and the product being designed, but they generally represent the fundamental stages in the product design process from beginning to end.

We will break down the cost and delivery time into stages, these will be unique to your project.
Cost and delivery times for each stage will always be confirmed and agreed prior to the next stage starting. If any changes are made during the stages, then these will be discussed and agreed before continuing.
